Our Miri

Miri Coffee Company is a proudly 100% women-owned specialty coffee exporter based in Nairobi. We source our beans from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, focusing on empowering women through direct trade and ensuring traceability.

From our humble beginnings in Nairobi, we have grown to be a vital part of the coffee export landscape, showcasing African coffee and empowering women farmers.

Our mission is to provide premium coffee while promoting women empowerment and sustainable practices.

Brand Values

At Miri Coffee, we believe that great coffee begins with honesty, respect, and care.
Every step of our journey — from sourcing raw beans to roasting and packaging — is guided by transparency and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Fair pricing, responsible sourcing, and sustainable farming practices are at the heart of who we are.
To us, coffee is more than a drink — it is a reflection of culture, craftsmanship, and connection.

East African Origin Story

Miri Coffee’s roots lie deep in the highlands of East Africa — home to some of the world’s most celebrated coffees.
From the volcanic soils and high elevations of Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania come beans rich in fruity aroma, bright acidity, and distinctive flavor.
We work closely with local farmers to honor their heritage, expertise, and generations of dedication, ensuring that every cup carries the true essence of East African coffee.

Our Producers

Behind every cup of Miri Coffee stands the remarkable strength of East Africa’s women farmers. From Ethiopia’s misty highlands to the volcanic slopes of Kenya, Rwanda, and Tanzania, these women nurture each coffee cherry with knowledge passed down through generations. Their stories are rooted in resilience, community, and deep respect for the land. By honoring their craftsmanship and partnering directly with women-led farms and cooperatives, we ensure that their skill, leadership, and heritage shine through in every roast. Their hands shape our flavor — their stories shape our purpose.

Sustainability

At Miri Coffee, sustainability is not an afterthought — it is the foundation of every decision we make. From farm to cup, we prioritize practices that protect the earth, uplift communities, and ensure every customer knows exactly where their coffee comes from.

Explain Transparency

We believe you deserve to know the full story behind your coffee. That’s why we maintain open and honest traceability at every step — from the women who grow our beans to the micro-lots they come from, and the methods used to process them. Clear information, real origins, no hidden steps.

Packaging,

We choose packaging that minimizes environmental impact without compromising freshness. Recyclable, low-waste materials help us reduce our footprint while delivering coffee at peak quality. Because great taste should never come at the planet’s expense.

Ethical Sourcing,

Our coffees are sourced through long-term partnerships with women-led farms and cooperatives across East Africa. By paying fair prices above market standards, we support financial stability, community growth, and generational empowerment within farming families.

Regenerative Trade

Beyond fair trade, we practice regenerative trade — a relationship model that reinvests in the soil, the communities, and the future of coffee farming. This means supporting soil health, climate resilience, farmer training, and long-term ecological balance.
